2026 Festival
The fifth festival was held at New York Live Arts in Manhattan, on July 31-August 2, 2026. Our guests of honor were Prashant Shah, Sandip Mallick, and Samarth Nagarkar.
NYKF Pop-Up! Concert 2025
We curated a dance + live music concert at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center.
2025 Festival
The fourth festival was held at the Ailey Studios and Ailey Citigroup Theater at the Joan Weill Center for Dance in Manhattan, on August 22-24, 2025. Our guests of honor were Padma Shri Dr. Shovana Narayan and Sanjukta Sinha, as well as Alam Khan and Pt. Abhijit Banerjee—co-presented with Chaar Prahar Music Festival.

We curated a dance + live music concert at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center.
2024 Festival
The third festival was held at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center and the Juilliard School in Manhattan, on June 21-23, 2024. Our guests of honor included Vidushi Saswati Sen and Vidha Lal.
NYKF Pop-Up! Mehfil
We curated an intimate baithak at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in Manhattan.

We curated a dance + live music concert at the Queens Theatre.
2023 Festival
The second festival was held at Ballet Hispanico and the Symphony Space in Manhattan, on June 2-4, 2023. Our guests of honor included Vidushi Shama Bhate and Pandit Rajendra Gangani.

Held at the Rubin Museum of Art, we curated a celebration of Buddha Purnima, the day of Gautama Buddha’s enlightenment through music and dance.

A Special Online Event
We weren’t able to gather in person in 2020 due to the global pandemic, so we brought the global kathak community together for an online festival.
2019 Festival
The inaugural festival was held at the prestigious Ailey Studios and the Ailey Citigroup Theater at the Joan Weill Center for Dance in Manhattan, on April 19-21, 2019. Our guests of honor included Pandit Birju Maharaj and Vidushi Saswati Sen.
