The second festival was held at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center and the Juilliard School in Manhattan, on June 21-23, 2024. Our guests of honor included Vidushi Saswati Sen and Vidha Lal.

We continued a third season of online performances on HomeStages, a series curated by the New York Kathak Festival where global kathak artists invite us into their homes for intimate performances.
Our first live event in 2 years, we gathered at the Pop-Up! for a special event featuring dance + live music.

In 2020, we premiered HomeStages an online performance series curated by the New York Kathak Festival where global kathak artists invite us into their homes for intimate performances.
We weren’t able to gather in person in 2020 due to the global pandemic, so we brought the global kathak community together for an online festival.
The inaugural festival was held at the prestigious Ailey Studios and the Ailey Citigroup Theater at the Joan Weill Center for Dance in Manhattan, on April 19-21, 2019. Our guests of honor included Pandit Birju Maharaj and Vidushi Saswati Sen.
