As is the tradition in India, Madho is carrying on the family tradition of vocal music and harmonium. His father Pt Jwala Prasad and grandfather Pt Shiva Prasad are well-known names in the music arena. Endowed with a rich and mellifluous voice, he has provided vocal and harmonium accompaniment to a number of leading Kathak dancers. In the last over two and half decades, he has carved a special niche for himself with his creative musical compositions in various dance ballets, telefilms and serials, that showed his musical creativity ranging from the classical to the popular and semi-classical genres. He has travelled widely for performances within India and in various countries outside India.
