Seema Viswanath is a Kathak and a Bharatanatyam dancer/educator/choreographer and the artistic director of ‘Nritya MāyāNanda school of Arts’, North Carolina. She is a seasoned classical dancer who has been learning Bharatanatyam for 24+ years and Kathak for 14+ years. She has been blessed with legendary teachers who guide her in the pursuit of both the dance forms from Smt. Guru.Nandini Eswer, Lt.Guru.Dr.Maya Rao, Guru.Munna Shukla ji, Smt.Ruchi Saini and Taal Vidya guru from Pandit. Divyaang Vakil  guruji. She holds masters in computer applications and in fine arts, Bharatanatyam. She hold Vidwat and a rank student in Kathak exam. She is ‘A’ graded Doordarshan artist. She has staged solo performances such as ‘Koham’ - who am I? , ‘Nagamangala’ - a Natya rupantara and ‘Dvimukhi’ - two faces. She has also directed group productions like ‘Taali se Taal tak’ - when a clap become rhythm, ‘Murali Dhanu’ - a comparison between Rama and Krishna, ‘Pancharatna Samarpanam’, ‘Samvad’ - a dialogue between Kathak and Bharatanatyam’ and so on. She strives to walk in the path shown by her gurus to attain the ultimate goal of all Indian art forms, i.e. ‘bliss’. She strongly believes that dance is not just for entertainment, it's a way of living.
