Shouvik Mukherjee

Shouvik initially received tutelage from renowned sitarist Bimal Chatterjee and later on from sitar virtuoso Pandit Kushal Das. Currently he is receiving guidance from sitarist Shri Abhik Mukherjee. He was awarded as an All India Radio artist in 2012. He has performed in many classical festivals such as at Raj Bhawan (Governer’s Place), Belur Math Ramakrishna Mission, Behala Classical Festival, and Golpark Ramakrishna Mission in Kolkata. He has also performed many prestigious concerts in Europe such as at the Indian Embassy of Berlin, in Cologne, Munich, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, FABRIK, Hamburg-Altona, Indian Embassy-The Hague, Cultuurhuis Heerlen, Très-Sainte-Trinité Strasbourg, India Week, Hamburg, Theater am, “Fest in Indischen Dorf”, Rathausplatz, Althütte, Germany. Recently he collaborated with German Rock Band “Back To The Roots” on their Led Zeppelin-famed cover music video “Kashmir” in 2017 in Wuppertal. He has also performed in kerala kappatv Music Mojo season 1 and 2, Bangalore B flat bar and Phoenix mall, and India Habitat Center in Delhi. He has also had the privilege to perform with Grammy award winner Ivansantos, Sonu Nigam in London and Birmingham, and the tabla legend Pandit Kumar Bose.
