Varsha Sivaprasad - A dedicated Kathak artist, choreographer, and educator, Varsha has spent over 17 years learning the art form, blending precision with soulful expression. She continues to refine her craft under the mentorship of Guru Smt. Durga Arya, immersing herself in the depth of traditional Kathak.
As the founder of Kalaagram Arts & Wellness Centre (Bengaluru, India) and Kalaagram Dance Gurukul (Goa, India), she is dedicated to making Kathak accessible and inspiring a new generation of dancers.
Her performances have graced some of the most prestigious stages, including Mysore Dussehra, Hampi Utsav, Tirupati Brahmotsava, Natyanjali Festival (Chidambaram), The India Dans Festival at Korzo Theatre, Netherlands, Door County Death’s Door Dance Festival (USA), and Rhythmworks at Danceworks,Milwaukee, USA). She has showcased the elegance of Kathak in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Germany, Nepal, and across India, captivating audiences with her nuanced abhinaya and technical compositions.
Beyond performing, Varsha is passionate about sharing her knowledge through workshops and has conducted intensive training programs in colleges and communities across Germany, Dubai, and the USA. She believes in Kathak as a dynamic art form that bridges cultures, emotions, and history.
Her contributions to Indian classical dance have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Nritya Shiromani Award by the All India Poetess Conference (2024), the Kannaki Award (Kerala, 2024), and the Dancing Flair Award (Mumbai, 2012).
With a Master’s in Psychology, Varsha weaves movement and mindfulness into her teaching, creating space for rhythm to meet self-awareness. For her, Kathak is more than just dance—it's a path of inner transformation, rooted in tradition and constantly evolving.
Cyenthia is a Kathak performer, choreographer, and teacher based in Milwaukee. She has undergone her training in the Lucknow style of Kathak from Guru Murari Sharan Gupta and Guru Hari and Chetna in Bangalore, India. and is currently mentored by MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) Guru Sujata Banerjee from London. She is the Artistic Director of Aarambh Kathak Dance School, founded in 2019—the only ISTD (Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing) certified Kathak school in Wisconsin. Known for her creativity, Cyenthia has choreographed innovative productions that integrate Kathak with other genres such as Flamenco and Tap. She has performed extensively across the U.S. and India and has been honored with the Nritya Shiromani Award and the Sashimani Devadasi Yuva Pratibha Puraskar. Her contributions to the field of Kathak are widely recognized.
